The Paper

The paper I use is mould made of 100% cotton, chlorine and acid free, guaranteeing long conservation and inalterability over time.
The paper is sized both internally and externally, making it ideally absorbent and retaining its nature unaltered even if scratched. Brillant white, without optical bleaching.

I always paper with a great thickness ideal to be sculpted with my technique.

Technique and Tools

Light and clean shallow incisions enliven paper  turning the pure white of the sheet into a complex pattern of shadows and light that give three-dimensionality to my works.
I take the the fleeting spur of the moment leading me towards free and unexpected movements and completely abandoning set patterns at times.
Starting from the rigour of the white sheet of paper, the cuts, then slightly raised, release the fire, the dynamism and the rhythm.
In my hands, under the scalpel, that white canvas comes to life.
The infinite potential enclosed in one simple element becomes animated and turns into an artwork.
